One of my favorite parts of summer is watching the barn swallows swoop over the nursery each morning.
They’re not just putting on a show. They’re busy catching mosquitoes, flies, gnats, and other insects to feed their growing babies.
It’s a reminder that native plants support so much more than butterflies and bees. They create an entire food web, providing the insects that help feed birds like these.
Every morning, the nursery gives a little back to nature… and I never get tired of watching it.
